This one’s a great example of how a small fitted kitchen can still feel really spacious and upmarket with the right layout and finishes. The client wanted a kitchen that felt modern but not too stark—something with a bit of character—so we went with a modern Shaker look using the Melrose Shaker range.
The Look: Modern Shaker with a Bit of Punch
We used a two-tone set-up: Indigo base units with Light Grey wall units. It’s a popular combo here in Ireland because it keeps the room bright up top, while the darker colour on the bottom hides everyday marks and gives the kitchen a solid, built-in feel.
To tie it all together, we paired it with quartz worktops for a clean, durable finish, and added satin brass handles and a matching brass tap to warm up the indigo. It’s a simple detail, but it really lifts the whole kitchen.
